Paintless dent removal and conventional body shop repair have a unique relationship. In
a PDR first body shop, the PDR company can drastically minimize the use of body filler and Bondo in the repair of dents and dings by performing pdr. The dent can be removed from the vehicle using paintless dent removal, and the techniques associated with paintless dent removal, or PDR, minimizing how much body filler is used to make the surface flat again.
A lot of times what will happen is one panel will have a ding or dent in it that has not disrupted the paint. A PDR company will come in and repair that dent. The next panel that does have paint damage or needs conventional body repair will be repaired by the body shop. Through that process, less of the vehicle will have new paint on it because one panel was done using paintless dent removal, and another panel was done using conventional repair, body filler and paint.
Another way that a PDR company and a body shop work together to repair your vehicle is with auto hail damage. Sometimes hail damage is so severe that you do need body repair on certain panels. The PDR company will repair all of the panels using paintless dent repair, or PDR. In the areas of the car where the hail has broken the paint, they can adjust the dents down minimizing body filler. Then leaving a conventional repair with the cleanest and best finish because the dents were adjusted without welding rivets onto the car and pulling the body out. It was actually pushed on the back using glue to pull the dent out, or glue pull repair, GPR bringing the hail damaged vehicle back to a condition that minimal body services are needed to complete the repair.

We can completely repair hail damage at all levels using paintless dent removal and conventional auto body repair. Another way that a PDR company works with a body shop to repair your vehicle is with very large damage. We can push to paint of very large fender smashes, quarter panel smashes, or door smashes where the dent can be pulled out using glue, blended out using blending hammers and other modalities associated with paintless dent repair. Which saves the panel from being replaced. After which we would turn the vehicle over to a skilled body shop, such as Collision Craftsmen, to finish the repair, bringing your vehicle back to its pre damaged condition and putting it in the best possible condition that it can be after a collision, fender bender or auto hail damage.
Picking a five-star body shop and a five-star rated PDR company is sometimes hard to do. But thankfully at American Dent Specialists and our partnership with Collision Craftsmen, you can find both of those five-star services in one place.
